Sheikh Hamdan commends the significant contribution made towards an educational complex funded by the foundation.
On Wednesday, Azizi Developments revealed its commitment of Dh600 million towards the establishment of an educational endowment complex as part of the Mothers’ Endowment campaign.
The declaration took place with the attendance of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).
The donation, constituting one of the most substantial charitable contributions in the UAE, was disclosed during the signing of a pact between MBRGI and Azizi Developments. As per the agreement, Azizi Developments will undertake the development of the education complex.
In a post shared on his X platform account, Sheikh remarked: “I have observed the signing of an agreement between MBRGI and Azizi Developments, marking a charitable endeavor that stands among the largest in the nation. This initiative aligns with the Mothers’ Endowment campaign initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during the holy month of Ramadan.”
He further stated: “The consistent demonstration of the private sector’s reliability in the UAE underscores its role as a steadfast partner in societal responsibility, nation-building, and charitable endeavors across Dubai and the wider UAE. Thank you.”
The proceeds from the education complex will be entirely allocated to supporting students in completing their education and acquiring the necessary skills for the future.
This forthcoming education complex in Dubai and the UAE represents a significant enhancement to the education sector, in line with MBRGI’s objective of extending education and knowledge to disadvantaged communities worldwide.
Endowment education projects
Mohammad Al Gergawi, the Secretary-General of MBRGI, highlighted that the increase in new educational endowment projects in Dubai is a testament to the enduring commitment of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to sustainable philanthropy and the allocation of requisite resources for the enhancement of education. Al Gergawi emphasized MBRGI’s aim to provide the younger generation with avenues to acquire knowledge and remain updated on global advancements across various domains.
