Emaar Properties, Expo Dubai, Deyaar, DAMAC Properties, Azizi Developments, MAG, Sobha Realty, Ellington Properties, and Al Bait Al Duwaliy Real Estate Development have joined forces in a strategic alliance agreement.
The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has commenced the first phase of a series of strategic collaborations with nine developers to strengthen the ‘Dubai Real Estate Programme’. This initiative seeks to promote professional ethics and standards within the sector. Among the leading developers participating in the strategic alliance agreement, signed by Marwan bin Ghalita, Acting Director-General of DLD, are Emaar Properties, Expo Dubai, Deyaar, DAMAC Properties, Azizi Developments, MAG, Sobha Realty, Ellington Properties, and Al Bait Al Duwaliy Real Estate Development. Expectations are high for DLD to forge additional partnerships with prominent developers and real estate brokers in Dubai in subsequent phases. The alliance agreement is geared towards cooperation in diverse areas, including bolstering the competitiveness of Emirati professionals and facilitating their involvement in the real estate sector. Its scope encompasses the conception and execution of supportive, high-caliber projects through collaboration between the Dubai Land Department and partners within the emirate’s real estate sector.
Efforts will be made to allocate a 10 – 15 percent quota of their projects to be sold through Emirati brokers.
Additionally, it aims to contribute to empowering national talents by providing job opportunities within the second party in accordance with existing labour laws.
Marwan bin Ghalita said the alliance programme is launched to increase citizens’ participation and incentivise their involvement in real estate activities in the emirate.
