A committee has been formed to review requests from impacted citizens and ascertain appropriate measures to address them.
Dubai citizens impacted by the storm are now able to reach out to authorities via WhatsApp to seek assistance for property damages caused by the rainfall. This initiative follows directives from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, urging authorities to prepare for severe weather conditions.
In response, Omar Hamad Bushahab, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, has formed a committee tasked with evaluating requests from affected citizens and devising solutions, with a priority on restoring damaged homes.
A dedicated WhatsApp number (0583009000) has been set up for affected citizens to request support.
The Committee for the Care of Affected People in Dubai, comprising members from various emirate authorities, will concentrate on managing requests from citizens impacted by the rain.
Their primary focus will be on repairing and renovating affected homes to expedite the restoration of normalcy across the emirate.
Sheikh Hamdan has also instructed the Dubai Land Department and the Real Estate Regulatory Agency to collaborate with real estate developers and residential complex management firms to facilitate the return to normalcy in affected areas.
These authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to providing a range of services to impacted individuals at no extra cost, including offering alternative housing, supplying food to affected residents in residential complexes, and providing sterilization and pest control services.
