During the summer months, short-term rentals might become a favored choice for visitors to Dubai.
Frank Porter, an accommodation management firm, suggests that short-term rentals in Dubai could flourish during the summer months. This is due to various tourism initiatives in Dubai and increasing prices at European resorts, which make the UAE an appealing destination for both business and leisure travelers. Short-term rental accommodations are expected to experience high demand in the summer due to the UAE’s diverse entertainment options, exciting summer events calendar, government tourism incentives, and the introduction of additional flight routes connecting Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah.
Dubai real estate short-term rentals
The momentum from a record-breaking 2023 continues into 2024 as Dubai sees a surge in tourism, with an almost 20 percent year-on-year increase in overnight visitors during the first few months. This trend is expected to persist into the summer months, traditionally a quieter season in the UAE.
With European destinations facing price surges, more travelers are turning to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and neighboring Emirates like Ras Al Khaimah as attractive options, even in the warmer months.
The UAE’s expanding offerings, including large malls, temperature-controlled pools in over 800 hotels, indoor theme parks, water activities, and world-class dining options, ensure there’s plenty to do even when temperatures soar.
Short-term rentals are anticipated to thrive during the summer months, thanks to the UAE’s diverse entertainment offerings, government tourism incentives, and increased flight routes.
As part of its efforts to boost tourism, the Dubai Government aims to increase the sector’s contribution to GDP to AED450 billion ($122.5 billion) by 2031, with annual summer campaigns playing a crucial role in achieving this goal.
To further incentivize international tourists, summer campaigns will offer deals such as “kids go free,” dining offers, and city-wide retail festivals.
Short-term rental properties provide an attractive option for summer travelers, offering affordability, personalization, and a more comfortable stay compared to hotels, especially for those planning longer trips.
With a variety of short-term let properties available, ranging from studios for solo “bleisure” trips to spacious apartments for families, travelers can find accommodations suited to their preferences and needs.
