UAE residents prioritise health features in home purchases

A recent survey conducted by R.Evolution in partnership with YouGov reveals a significant shift in the UAE real estate market, with health and wellness features becoming top priorities for homebuyers. The study, encompassing over 1,000 UAE residents, indicates that 90% consider a healthy home environment essential, and more than 80% are willing to pay a premium for properties that support wellbeing.

🏡 Key Wellness Features Valued by UAE Homebuyers

  • Indoor Air Quality: 92% of respondents deem it “extremely” or “very” important.
  • Access to Purified Water: 93% place high importance on having purified water at home.
  • Natural Light and Fresh Air: 90% value these elements in their living spaces.
  • Nature-Inspired Designs: 75% seek homes with indoor plants and views of greenery.
  • Wellness Amenities: 68% consider features like spas and meditation zones important.

Additionally, half of the participants are familiar with the concept of ‘Longevity Real Estate’, which focuses on building homes that support long-term health and quality of life. Nearly 50% stated they would be “extremely likely” to invest more in homes designed to support physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

🏙️ Eywa: A Benchmark in Wellness-Centric Living

In response to this growing demand, R.Evolution has introduced Eywa, a residential project in Dubai’s Business Bay, set for completion in 2026. Eywa is poised to be the region’s only residential development achieving both WELL Platinum and LEED Platinum certifications.

Notable features of Eywa include:

  • A 16-tonne Crystal Pyramid housing 3,355 crystals and semi-precious stones, aimed at enhancing focus, sleep, and cellular health.
  • Residences equipped with air and water filtration systems, soundproof walls, terraces with greenery, and private plunge pools.
  • Services such as a 24-hour concierge, in-house chefs, and children’s wellness programs.

This development exemplifies the evolving definition of luxury in Dubai’s property market, where health, meaning, and harmony are increasingly valued over mere size and aesthetics.
