DLD settles over AED1.38bn in property disputes in first half of 2024

The Dubai Media Office announced on Sunday that the settlements were processed using the Oqoodi Platform service.

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) settled 647 real estate disputes, amounting to over AED1.38 billion, in the first half of 2024, as reported by the Dubai Media Office (DMO).

These settlements were handled through the Oqoodi Platform service, which verified all agreements.

The DLD’s initiative aims to address property disputes outside the courtroom, utilizing legal specialists to facilitate negotiations between parties. This strategy is intended to maintain business relationships and reduce the expenses linked to judicial processes.

“This method is an efficient way to resolve disputes quickly, ensuring investor satisfaction and happiness. These settlements allow parties to continue their investments, ensuring real estate projects progress without delays and supporting various industries connected to construction,” said Abdullah Al Zarooni, Legal Support Section Manager at DLD.

The department’s conflict resolution service focuses on achieving mutually acceptable solutions for investors and developers. By documenting these settlements, the DLD aims to ensure compliance and enhance confidence in Dubai’s real estate market.
