Dubai Mall could be on its way to breaking another world record

“Dubai Mall continues to set new benchmarks”, says the Founder of Emaar

Emaar has shared its achievements for the first half of 2024, announcing that Dubai Mall welcomed an impressive 57 million visitors, marking an eight percent increase compared to the same period last year.

In 2023, Dubai Mall was honored as the most visited place on Earth.

Renowned for its vast array of shops, stunning attractions, and exceptional restaurants, it’s no surprise that the Downtown location has seen another rise in foot traffic.

To better meet shoppers’ needs, Emaar noted that the introduction of new washroom designs and improved parking facilities has further enhanced the visitor experience.

Commenting on Dubai Mall’s success, Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar, stated: “This growth is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and partners.”

“We are dedicated to continually enhancing every aspect of the mall to maintain its status as a premier global destination.”

In 2024, a Dhs1.5 billion expansion plan for Dubai Mall was unveiled, which will add 240 new stores along with various food and beverage outlets.

On July 1, 2024, a paid parking system was introduced at the mall for the first time, in collaboration with Salik.

This partnership utilizes the toll gate company’s technology to provide a barrier-free parking experience for mall visitors.

Parking will be complimentary for the first four hours on weekdays and six hours on weekends; thereafter, a fee will be required.
