Dubai ranked world’s best destination in 2024 Tripadvisor rankings

For the third consecutive year, Dubai holds the top spot in the Tripadvisor rankings.

In the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, Dubai has clinched the title of the world’s most popular tourist destination.

For the third consecutive year, the emirate has secured the top spot in the destination rankings, underscoring its well-established status as a global tourism hotspot. The awards rely on public votes and are determined by the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period.

Dubai tops Tripadvisor ranking

Announcing the achievement on social media, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, emphasized that the city’s victory in the 2024 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards reflects Dubai’s ambition and leadership. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that Dubai has secured the top spot as the No.1 global destination for three consecutive years, a remarkable accomplishment in the tourism sector that has become a tangible reality due to the visionary leadership of @HHShkMohd.

Just last year, @HHShkMohd articulated ambitious targets for Dubai’s tourism sector in the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, aiming to elevate Dubai to one of the top three global economic cities and tourist destinations. In the rankings, Bali and London followed the city, with Europe and Asia prominently featuring in the majority of the top 10.

In addition, Tripadvisor highlighted the top trending destinations, ranking Tokyo and Seoul as the first and second choices, respectively, reflecting the growing popularity of these Asian capitals among tourists.
