More Dubai developers have stepped forward to aid their communities following heavy rains this week that led to extensive flooding and property damage.
They have committed to covering the costs of repairs for affected residents free of charge.
MAG, a private real estate developer, has pledged to assist its customers impacted by the recent downpours. “The company will bear all expenses for necessary repairs for affected residents across its residential developments,” MAG stated.
“In light of the unprecedented weather conditions experienced in the UAE earlier this week, it is our responsibility to support our customers during these difficult times. The resilience shown by our residents, along with the supportive measures implemented by the government, inspires us to extend our assistance to those in need,” said Talal Moafaq Al Gaddah, CEO of MAG Lifestyle Development.
Some of the completed projects by the developer include MAG 214, MAG 218, Emirates Financial Towers, MAG Hotel Apartments, MAG 5 Residences, and others. Notable ongoing projects include Keturah Resort, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Keturah Reserve Townhouses, and Keturah Reserve Residences.
On Friday, Emaar Properties also announced its commitment to repairing all properties in its Dubai communities damaged during the heavy rains at no cost.
“Emaar will undertake the repair of all properties within our communities that have been damaged by the recent rains at its own cost to ensure that our residents can return to their daily lives as swiftly and smoothly as possible,” said Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties.
Damac Properties, Dubai’s largest private developer, stated that it would continue to evaluate the extent of the damage to reassure residents that all properties are fully insured and support stakeholders in comprehensive assessment and processes where necessary.
It also confirmed that no significant structural damage was reported and that proactive measures, including regular maintenance of power, fire safety, and alarm systems, ensured the safety of both residents and property.
The developer noted that it collaborated closely with local authorities to restore normalcy in communities within hours of the storm’s impact, minimizing disruptions for residents. “As we strive to return to normal, I extend my gratitude to our community for their patience,” said Mohammed Tahaineh, general manager of projects at Damac.
Nearly 1,000 Damac employees participated in relief efforts, with support from Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, RTA, Dubai Rescue Center, Dewa, Civil Defence, and other government authorities.
