Palm Jumeirah, an artificial island shaped like a palm tree with sixteen symmetrical fronds, hosts luxurious villas, stunning hotels, a water park, and several kilometers of picturesque beaches.
Smaller than Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira, Palm Jumeirah is the pioneering project of its kind, a renowned symbol of the UAE alongside Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa. This man-made marvel, created over six years at a cost of USD 12 billion, spans five kilometers into the Arabian Gulf and covers an area equivalent to 600 football fields.
Construction began in August 2001 under Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s directive to blend harmoniously with the environment, utilizing 94 million square meters of sand and a 3.5-meter protective breakwater spanning 5.5 million square meters of rock.
Today, Palm Jumeirah features magnificent hotels, yacht clubs, theme parks, shopping centers, and luxury villas with private beach access, comprising approximately 1,400 villas and 2,500 apartments.
