The most recent residential project exclusively for Emiratis is Latifa City.

On Sunday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, gave his approval to a series of projects aimed at constructing additional homes for Emiratis. Following his recent initiative to double the number of Emirati families within 10 years, Sheikh Mohammed has officially designated an area named Latifa City for housing purposes.

In Latifa City, 3,500 plots of land will be distributed among Dubai’s citizens, accompanied by 2,300 ready-to-move-in houses valued at Dh5.5 billion. The housing plots covering 40 million square feet are set to be allocated to eligible citizens from Dubai starting in February.

Within Latifa City, there are 2,700 plots, and an additional 800 plots are located in the Al Yalayis 5 area. The 2,300 new houses are situated in Al Khawaneej 2, Al Aweer, Wadi Al Amardi, and Hatta.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the significance of family in the nation, stating, “Family is the cornerstone of the nation and the foundation of all development plans. Our ultimate objective is to enhance the quality of citizens’ lives for a brighter future.”

On Wednesday, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, launched the Dubai Integrated Housing Centre, which aims to provide 54 residential services under one roof. Scheduled to open in February at Avenue Mall in Nad Al Sheba, the center will offer services from four government departments alongside two private sector partners, aligning with the goals of the Dubai Social Agenda 33 for 2024.

Earlier in the month, Sheikh Mohammed announced the plan, stating, “It is our plan for Dubai’s community for the next 10 years, with the slogan Family, The Foundation of the Nation.” The budget for this comprehensive initiative is Dh208 billion over the next decade, focusing on various aspects such as housing, improving living standards, identity, values, social cohesion, healthcare, and developing future skills in upcoming generations. The ultimate goal is to double the number of citizen families within the decade, providing them with the world’s best residential areas.
