UAE petrol prices rise in March 2024, diesel rates increase

This revision follows a hike in prices in February, attributed to the escalating fuel expenses.

Fuel prices in the UAE are set to increase in March, as announced by the authorities.

This change follows an increase in prices in February attributed to the rising costs of fuel.

Although the prices of petrol and diesel have fluctuated over the past 12 months, they are presently lower than they were at the same time last year.

UAE petrol prices March 2024

Starting March 1, the prices for refueling vehicles in the UAE are as follows:

– Special 95: AED2.92 per liter, up from AED2.76 in February.
– Super 98: AED3.03 per liter, up from AED2.88 in February.
– E-Plus: AED2.85 per liter, up from AED2.69 in February.
– Diesel: AED3.16 per liter, up from AED2.99 in February.

In August 2015, the UAE introduced the deregulation of fuel prices, in line with a new policy linked to global price trends.

The Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure and the Ministry of Finance were appointed as the government’s representatives within a committee formed to evaluate and review fuel prices in the UAE monthly.

In March 2021, with the increase in global oil prices, restrictions were removed to permit market forces to once again dictate petrol prices.

Additionally, the variation in petrol prices is also impacted by the upswing in worldwide crude oil prices.
